Skip Bins - Closed Vs Open Skip Bins

Skip Bins  are waste bins designed specifically to collect items that would otherwise be dumped or left where they may cause harm. Skips are available in different shapes and sizes, depending on the amount of waste to be collected, from light to extra big. In most cases, a skip consists of two parts: a drum and a slot or space for storage of other materials. The drum is placed inside the skip container. A skip bin in the general waste collection is located in a central coast area, usually on the main road, with a number of similar skip bins situated on the edge of local streets. There are several common uses for skip bins, although their main use in central coast areas is collecting vehicle waste. A single drum containing a lot of waste can occupy quite a large space, so one of the common uses is to make space on local roads by placing one or more drums there.
